As an immensely successful and award-winning national organisation with over 20 years’ experience, Castlebeck provides long-term individual care to people with learning disabilities and complex needs. We are now opening a new unit for people who are experiencing neurobehavioural difficulties due to an acquired brain injury. Accommodating fifteen men and women, many of whom have enduring behavioural problems, the new unit will combine a positive approach in behavioural support with a broad range of clinical treatments for patients with cognitive, behavioural, physical and social rehabilitation needs following a brain injury.

In this role, you will assess individual’s communication requirements across all domains, working with them to agree treatment outcomes and increase their independence. You will be involved in the assessment and management of any dysphagia issues. A flexible, innovative SaLT with a background in neurology, mental health or learning disabilities, you will join us at an exciting time as we develop this new service and our Speech and Language function throughout the organisation. You will work alongside our rehabilitation assistants providing training and support to carry out your agreed treatment programmes to ensure continuity of approach and maximum carry over of skills re-learnt.
