Job Description

 

As an immensely successful and award-winning national organisation with over 20 years’ experience, Castlebeck provides long-term individual care to people with learning disabilities and complex needs, and is now developing services for individuals with brain injuries.

The above position is a combined role and would require working 20 hours as a senior staff nurse and 20 hours as a practice educator for the company.

The role of Practice Educator would require travel to the North East, South West and Scotland. The areas that would be covered in the training sessions would be infection control, dysphagia awareness, medication management, epilepsy training and the administration of rescue medication.

Through your role of Senior Staff Nurse you will be responsible and accountable for the provision of nursing care including assessment and evaluation and ensuring that each patient/resident has an individual care plan, be an effective role model and assist with the induction of new staff.
