Job Description
Young Foundations is a unique service offering high quality residential care for children and young people who present with complex needs and challenging behaviour. Registered to care for young people aged 12-25 years, we provide a specialist 'wrap around' range of care in a residential environment. We deliver social care, healthcare support and education all under one roof, providing the stability and independence our young people need to return sucessfully to a family setting.
As a Residential Worker you will be addressing the needs of the young people in our care, you'll work closely with them - and also with their families, social workers and health and education professionals. You'll be involved in day-to-day activities such as sports, crafts and learning activities, and will help young people contribute to the decision-making process. Experience in a care setting is essential and NVQ3 would be an advantage. What's really important is that you're organised, motivated and caring, with plenty of common sense and the ability to get on well with young people.
